Shane Balmer B.A. [Hons] 5th Dan Chairman - Bibliography

Shane started training in earnest In the early 1970s and by 1979 he was teaching in Dojos throughout the country. By mid 1980s he was winning tournaments, not only in Kumite but also in kata. Shane retired from competition in 1989, he then studied for a B.A. Honors degree and has studied as Masters level Sports Science. Shane was awarded his 5th Dan black belt in 2006, for all his hard work and effort with karate, He is Rokakai chairman and senior instructor to Rokakai.

Brian Holland 4th Dan Rokakai Head Instructor and BKA Team Coach - Bibliography

Brian Holland is a 4th Dan Black Belt in Karate, and Rokakai Kumite and Kata Coach.  He is also Coach to the British Karate Association Team. Having trained and fought competitively in many styles of martial arts including Karate, Boxing, Thai Boxing and Judo, Brian is now focusing his competitive side into Kata and Marathon Training. Brian also teaches practical self defence skills learnt from 10 years working in nightclub security.  

Lloyd Penny 3rd Dan Instructor - Bibliography

Lloyd started his karate training at the tender age of 8, training for several years, after a short break for exams, Lloyd returned to karate gaining his 3rd Dan under Sensei Balmer. A former member of the Rokakai and BKA team Lloyd gained lots of experience from competitions across the country. Lloyd teaches  at the Rokakai Market Harborough Dojo.
